Tooth Fairy has Arrived

Laci will be 6 next month and lost her first tooth on Tuesday, February 5th last week. In a panic I went Hobby Lobby last Monday and got all the stuff to make her tooth fairy door....

I know I am sure some of you are like... WHAT? A tooth fairy door... What is that? Or... really she doesn't miss anything. I know I know. I just can't stop, it is what I do. :)

So with out further ado... here is a close up so that you can see the glitter effect:

Here it is installed on her wall by the closet door:

Here it is open, of course you don't just see the wall. You see a magical fairy forest... what kind of mom do you think I am? That would lack incredible imagination if you still saw the wall. :)

Here it is with her tooth fairy pillow that sits outside the door for the fairy to easily pick up. We wouldn't want to risk the fairy waking her up now would we?

And last but not least here is a shot of what the fairy left for her...
  • She turned the glass of water by her bedside pink because it was a girl fairy that came to get her tooth (it will turn blue if it is a boy fairy)
  • She left the $5.00
  • She sprinkled pink and purple glitter around her desk
  • She left a note, her name was Sabrina Starshine and she thanked Laci for taking care of her tooth.

Ok I know some of you are thinking dude... $5 but it was her first tooth... I think that is really special and important. The price will definatly not be that high next time.

Anyways, what do you think about the tooth fairy's door and her first visit.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thought I should start sharing the things I have been doing, even if it is little or no text. I have just not had the time to do this but I figure... I kind of love this little blog o mine, so I should start showing it more love, and what better way to start than on the most loving day of the year.

Here are the Valentine's Day gifts Laci gave her class:

Party Party

You know if I can rename my blog I would probably rename it something like the Crazy Party Lady, or Parties Are My Thing.... Alas I didn't really think too much of it when I started the blog, I had just started sewing, and I think everything is cute (especially if it's hot pink)!

But anyways, I really like theme parties...

For Laci's first birthday we really didn't do a whole lot, we just moved in our house and really just didn't have the time to get set up. So the theme was more just about turning one. (a little insight... our external hard drive got broken by Laci when she knocked it off at a young age, so I don't know that I have any other pictures than this from her first birthday so you get this one of her with her fingers in her mouth. I am sure I do have more, but don't know where they are.)

For Laci's second birthday party I got my act together, we had a Curious George birthday party that was awesome! The Man in the Yellow Hat (aka. Uncle Tim) was a perfect addition!

For Laci's third birthday party I had really gotten into the swing of things and we had a Mickey Mouse Club House birthday party complete with Mickey and Minnie!

For Laci's fourth birthday party we had a Dr. Seuss birthday party, we had The Cat in the Hat and an amazing four tier cake!

For Laci's fifth birthday party we had a Willy Wonka birthday party! This party was over-the-top crazy! Tons of of candy, Willy Wonka himself, and a five tier birthday cake... it was overload and awesome!

For the last three years I've entered into Me and My Insanity's Party Party... The last two years I didn't quite make the cut, but did get props for the awesome cake last year!

This years Party Party ended last night at midnight... I'm excited to see how I did and hope that since 5 is her last big birthday party, that I did well!

From now on we are going to have smaller birthday parties that are centered more around the good friends that she has. Starting with an American Girl Doll party at the store this year... Well that is the current plan anyways.

Hope I did good and will share the results later!!!
